The Telegram @Handle You Want: Free, Fragment or Pre-Set

Three routes to the @handle your support desk or channel needs: claim an ordinary username free on a company-held account, buy a collectible on Fragment in TON, or order the Aged 90-Day with Username grade at $14 with the handle set before handover. What each route costs, who ends up holding the name, Telegram's own username rules, and the checks to run before you pay.

Three ways to get a Telegram username, compared

Your support desk needs an @handle a customer can check against your website; your channel needs one people can type. There are three routes, and the price gap is enormous. An ordinary handle is free on any account. A short or taken one circulates as a collectible on Fragment, priced in TON. And a Telegram account with username already claimed can be bought outright: the $14 grade in our catalog.

Know the handle you want? Send it with two fallbacks to @nexkyc on Telegram or +1 (737) 307-6751 on WhatsApp and we will tell you which route applies before you spend anything.

What each route costs and who ends up holding the handle

RouteWhat you payWho holds the nameFits
Free claim on an account you holdNothingThe account that claimed itAny unclaimed basic handle
Fragment collectibleA market price in TONThe TON wallet that bought itShort, taken or collectible names
Aged 90-Day with Username$14 per account at listThe account we hand overA handle set before delivery

A basic handle lives with the account that claimed it. A collectible lives in a wallet and can move later. A pre-set handle is only as secure as your control of the account.

What a pre-set account adds over a free claim

The honest version, before the variant section: if the handle you want is free, any company-held account can claim it in Settings for nothing. No purchase makes that name more yours.

The $14 grade adds two narrow things: 90 days of account age on a USA or EU registration, and the handle claimed before the login reaches you. That helps when the age is the point, or when you would rather we set the name than do it during launch week. If a free claim is all you wanted, it adds nothing.

Telegram username rules before you choose a handle

Allowed characters and length

Telegram’s FAQ says you can use a-z, 0-9 and underscores. Its API documentation for account.updateUsername puts the length at 5 to 32 characters. No hyphens, no periods, no four-letter names. Usernames are case-insensitive, though Telegram keeps your capitalization preference for display, so the casing you print buys no exclusivity over the lowercase spelling.

Public usernames: anyone can find and message the handle

The FAQ is direct about the trade. Others can find you in search under global results, and they can write to you without knowing your phone number, and it advises against a username if you are not comfortable with that. For a support handle that is the whole point. For an employee’s own account it is their decision, which argues for a company-held seat or a channel.

When Telegram can take a username back

Basic usernames go out first-come, first-served, and the FAQ claims a right of recall over two kinds of handle: those on unused bots and channels, and openly squatted ones. Read that as a use-it rule: a name parked on a dormant channel is not locked down.

Route 1: claim a free username on your company’s own account

Setting the username on a company-held number

The claim is one Settings field. The real decision is which account carries it: one the company controls, on a company SIM, with two-step verification set and credentials in the password manager.

If the name sits on a founder’s or an employee’s personal account, the FAQ’s route is to open Settings there and save an empty username, which does not affect existing conversations, then claim it on the company seat. No hold on a released name is published and names stay first-come, so run the two steps back to back.

When the handle is taken: Telegram’s @Username_bot request and who qualifies

If the name is held and not a collectible, Telegram’s FAQ gives one route: contact @Username_bot. Telegram says it can help you acquire the name for your account or channel if you hold that same username on at least two of these services: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. That is help on a condition, not a transfer you can count on.

Telegram says it cannot assign collectible usernames at all. And despite how often it gets repeated second-hand, we found no trademark-based claim process on Telegram’s own pages, so treat that route as unproven.

Putting the handle on a channel or group instead of a person

A public group or channel can carry a username of its own, and for a support contact that is often the better home: the handle survives an employee’s resignation. Mind the recall rule here: a channel created only to hold a name is the case the FAQ describes.

Route 2: buy a Telegram username as a Fragment collectible

What a Telegram collectible username is, and how Fragment sells it

A Fragment username is not a basic handle: it is issued as a blockchain collectible and sits in a TON wallet. Telegram’s announcement of collectible usernames says they can be bought and sold through Fragment, and that you can assign them to each of your accounts and public chats. Fragment’s about page says a username is acquired through direct sales or open auctions, and that ownership is transferred to the TON wallet you used.

Fragment calls itself a free platform while also stating that collectibles carry a platform fee on each sale, plus small blockchain fees. Moving one you own to another wallet is free.

Assigning a collectible to a profile, group or channel

Fragment says you can assign a collectible to your personal Telegram profile or to public groups and channels you own, then enable it in your Telegram settings. That separation is the advantage: a collectible can be reassigned to a new Telegram account at any time, as long as the wallet’s backup words are safe.

Offers on taken usernames, refunds, and what happens if the linked account is lost

  • Offers on taken names are neither free nor binding. An offer on a name marked as taken costs a small non-refundable fee, the amount you enter is not binding, and the owner may auction it later instead.
  • Nothing is refundable. The terms state that ownership is permanent and cannot be revoked, even by the company, so all purchases are non-refundable.
  • A lost Telegram account can strand the name. Ownership survives, per the clause above; the link does not. On a deleted, restricted or otherwise inaccessible account, the terms say it may potentially become impossible to link such a username to that Telegram account, and that you will not be compensated for your loss.

Why this guide quotes no prices or values

No TON figure, auction result or past sale price appears here. Quoting one invites you to read a handle as an investment. We do not sell collectibles and give no financial advice.

Route 3: an aged Telegram account with username already set

What the Aged 90-Day with Username grade includes, and what it doesn’t

The grade is 90 days of account age, a USA or EU number, and one basic free handle claimed before the login reaches you, at $14 at list. What it is not: a collectible, a four-character name, a handle somebody else holds, or anything resembling another company’s brand. If your name is one of those, route 1 or route 2 is your answer. On registration geo, what changes between USA and EU or SEA numbers covers the choice.

Checking the handle is free before you pay

Run the first check yourself. Open t.me/thehandle, or type the name into the universal search box in the chat list, which the FAQ says searches usernames: if it resolves, the name is taken. Then try saving it in Settings on an account you hold. Telegram’s API documents three answers behind that field: USERNAME_OCCUPIED for a name in use, USERNAME_INVALID for one outside the rules, and USERNAME_PURCHASE_AVAILABLE, which says the name can be purchased on Fragment, so it is a collectible.

Then send a first choice plus two fallbacks, each 5 to 32 characters, a-z, 0-9 and underscores only. We repeat the check and confirm which route applies before money moves.

Moving the account to a company SIM on day one

A bought account arrives on a number the seller registered. Until that changes, someone outside your company can receive its login codes and your handle sits on their SIM.

Telegram’s FAQ says you can change your number and keep everything, including all your contacts, messages and media from the Telegram cloud. One catch from the same page: a different Telegram account sitting on your new number must be deleted before you can move. Do this before the handle goes on your website.

If the handle is one seat in a bigger setup, a full account plan for community and support teams covers succession admins, moderator rotas and bot ownership.

What Telegram can still do to a bought account

Buying accounts runs against how platforms expect accounts to be held, and Telegram can restrict or close one at any time. Its Terms of Service put spam and scamming users on the list of things you agree not to do, and say non-compliance may bring a temporary or a permanent ban, from the whole platform or parts of it. A channel restricted for violations is listed as one way an admin loses it, and the no-compensation line covers Premium benefits, not the account.

The handle carries that exposure. Keep the account in genuine use, and never let a bought seat be the only way into a channel you care about.

Handles for your own brand only

Why lookalikes of another company’s name are off the table

We set handles for your own company, product or project. Not a misspelling of a competitor, not a near-miss of a known brand, not a support handle for a company you have nothing to do with, not names to resell. Spam and scamming users sit on the Terms of Service list of prohibited conduct, and a handle built to be mistaken for someone else’s is deception. That is our reading, not a line Telegram writes about handles. For impersonation the FAQ points to @NoToScam, and parked names are the ones it says can be recalled.

Making your real handle easy to verify and clones easy to spot

You cannot stop a stranger copying your name and logo. You can make the copy obvious:

  • Publish the handle on your own website, on the page a customer would check first, and link to it from your group description.
  • Pin a message in your group saying which handle is yours and that your team never writes first.
  • Keep the count low. One handle is easier to memorize, and easier to defend, than five.

The surveillance side of this, watching for fake support channels that use your logo, is a separate job with its own seats.

Choosing a MixAcc Telegram variant for a username job

Aged 90-Day with Username, $14: official support handle or channel owner

Take this grade when the seat is a long-term, publicly listed handle: the support contact on your site, or your announcement channel’s owner. It is the Aged 90-Day with Username on the Telegram accounts page, and Telegram orders start at 5.

New (Fresh PVA), $3.50: when you will claim the free handle yourself

If the name is free and your team will claim it, this is the cheaper, more honest option: a phone-verified account with clean handover at $3.50, on which you set the username once the number is yours. Use it for a second handle, a regional contact, or any seat where age is not the point. Same Telegram accounts page.

USA tdata (Aged 30+), $7: staging account for a support bot

A support handle usually sits next to a bot, and the bot wants testing before real people reach it. This grade gives a US number on a session already a month old, in tdata or session-string form: USA tdata (Aged 30+) at $7 on the Telegram accounts page. Our guide to testing a Telegram support bot from the customer’s side covers the path.

Meeting the 5-account order minimum

The Telegram minimum is 5 accounts. A first order usually mixes grades to reach it, so list the mix you want and we will confirm it before you pay. One shape:

JobVariantQuantity x list priceLine total
Published support handleAged 90-Day with Username1 × $14$14.00
Announcement channel ownerAged 90-Day with Username1 × $14$14.00
Spare seats, handles claimed freeNew (Fresh PVA)2 × $3.50$7.00
Staging seat for the support botUSA tdata (Aged 30+)1 × $7$7.00
Total, 5 accounts$42.00

That is $42.00 across five accounts, all list prices. The full-order rate comes on request.

Ordering a username account from MixAcc

What to send: the handle, two fallbacks, the variant and the quantity

One message does it. Per line: the variant, how many, then the handles.

  • Telegram, Aged 90-Day with Username, 2. Handles: yourbrand_help, yourbrand_support, help_yourbrand.
  • Telegram, New (Fresh PVA), 2. No handles needed, we will claim those ourselves.
  • Telegram, USA tdata (Aged 30+), 1. Session string, for bot staging.

Send it to @nexkyc on Telegram or +1 (737) 307-6751 on WhatsApp, or email allmixacc@gmail.com, and ask us to confirm the handles are free before paying. Settlement is crypto, or card against an invoice. Orders begin at 5 accounts, prices here are list prices, and the full-order rate is yours for asking.

Checks on delivery day, while the 7-day window is open

Credentials and recovery details arrive in the delivery file. Same-day work:

  1. Sign in with the credentials as delivered and check that the account opens.
  2. Compare the handle in the profile, character for character, with your order.
  3. Set a fresh two-step verification password and point recovery at a company mailbox.
  4. Close every other active session in Settings, under Devices.
  5. Move the number to a company SIM, confirm the handle still resolves, and only then publish it.

The replacement window is 7 days on every grade from the day accounts land. A sign-in that fails inside it is replaced on your word alone: no screen recording, no fault report. If the login is the problem, what to do if a delivered account won’t sign in covers the first hour.

Send the handle you want, two fallbacks, the variant and the quantity to @nexkyc on Telegram or +1 (737) 307-6751 on WhatsApp, and we will confirm availability before you pay. If the name turns out to be free, we will tell you that too.

Questions we get a lot

Do I have to buy a Telegram username, or is it free?
An ordinary handle is free. Telegram's FAQ says you can set a public username, that basic usernames are handed out first-come, first-serve, and that you can use a-z, 0-9 and underscores. It publishes no price for one, and setting it is a Settings field rather than a purchase. So if the name you want is unclaimed, any account your company already holds can take it at no cost. Money enters in two cases only: the name is registered as a collectible and sold on Fragment, or you want it already claimed on an aged account before handover.
How long can a Telegram username be?
Telegram's API documentation for account.updateUsername gives the limit as 5 to 32 characters, and the accepted characters as a-z (case-insensitive), 0-9 and underscores. That rules out hyphens, periods and anything shorter than five characters, which is one reason very short handles only circulate as collectibles. Capitalization is remembered for display but does not create a separate name, so Yourbrand_Help and yourbrand_help are the same handle. Pick something a customer can retype from memory after reading it once.
Someone else has the handle I want. Can Telegram give it to me?
Only in one published case. If the name is not a collectible, Telegram's FAQ says to contact @Username_bot, and that Telegram can help you acquire the name for your account or channel if you hold that same username on at least two of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Telegram also says it cannot assign collectible usernames, and that a taken collectible may be for sale on Fragment instead. We found no trademark-based username claim route on Telegram's own pages, so do not build a launch date around one existing.
What is a Telegram collectible username?
It is a username issued as a blockchain collectible rather than a basic handle. Telegram's own announcement says collectible usernames are bought and sold through Fragment and can be assigned to each of your accounts and public chats. Fragment says they move by direct sale or open auction, and that ownership passes to the TON wallet used to complete the purchase. Telegram's API even returns a USERNAME_PURCHASE_AVAILABLE error when the name you tried to set is one of these.
What happens to a collectible username if the Telegram account using it is banned?
Ownership itself survives: Fragment's terms say ownership is permanent and cannot be revoked, even by the company. What breaks is the link. On a deleted, restricted or otherwise inaccessible account, the terms say it may potentially become impossible to link such a username to that Telegram account, that the account may permanently lose access to all non-collectible entities bought on the platform, and that you will not be compensated for your loss. Purchases are non-refundable, so treat the wallet backup words as the asset.
What exactly does the Aged 90-Day with Username grade include?
Ninety days of account age, a USA or EU registration number, and one basic free handle claimed before handover, at $14 at list with Telegram orders starting at 5 accounts. It does not include a collectible, a short name, or any handle somebody else already holds. The handle has to be a free basic username at the moment we set it, which is why you send a first choice and two fallbacks and we confirm availability before you pay anything.
Can you set a handle that matches another company's brand?
No. We set handles for your own company, product or project only, and we turn down lookalikes, misspellings and near-misses of other brands, plus names bought to resell. Telegram's FAQ also claims a right of recall over openly squatted names and over handles sitting on unused bots and channels, so a parked name is not safe anyway. If someone is already impersonating your brand on Telegram, the answer is a report under your real name, not a competing handle.
Does buying an account with a username break Telegram's rules?
Buying accounts goes against how platforms expect accounts to be held, and Telegram can restrict or close one at any time. Telegram's Terms of Service say users agree not to use Telegram for spam or for scamming other users, and that a violation can bring a temporary or permanent ban from Telegram or some of its services. The no-compensation line on that page is narrower than it gets quoted: it covers Premium benefits lost with a banned account. A bought account also starts on a number the seller registered, so move it to a company SIM on day one. This is general information, not legal advice.
